Canon Powershot a540 camera has been dropped on the lens and says "lens error,restart camera"? teenynz,Sorry to hear that the easy fixes didn't work. But note that the fixes listed here will not work for everyone. This along with Fix #1c and #2 sometimes work for lens errors that occur from batteries wearing down while the lens was extended. If the lens extends even further, grab it again at its furthest extension, preventing it from returning.
