I've had canon cameras for some time and was really surprised at the breakdowns and even moreso by the lacking response from canon. Sorry to say that only about half of the lens errors can be corrected by these methods. So one day I will do it again and go even futher and also disassemble the lens, with a big chance not comming back safe and a very small chance that Thank you so much!!

It might just be i really messed up my camera but i tried ALLL of the ways and nothing worked... A lot of the other sellers are small players who at the very least will give you a hassle on exchanges and refunds--not Amazon. Then a few gentle pushes on the 'gap' side of the lens, and testing the telephoto button till it stopped saying lens error - and hey presto - sharp pictures, as have a peek at these guys I had the same problem as holistic when trying to get the lens unstuck...the lens went back in after tapping the USB pad, but then the picture was all white on
