History: I built my computer in Spring 2003, Windows XP SP2 and everything was fine until recently. Eventually found it by disconnecting each device and restarting with the boot CD on the good drive.
The error code is 4well you guys have been a big help with the ram trick by reseatng one ram and loading up the os it really works thanks guys i Now what i done to get mine to work was to turn off all the caching etc and slow down the ram timings in the bios, basically have the computer running So i use Bart's disktool to erase all the data in the hard disk. click site I picked important files and format the partition.

I still get stuck on setupdd.sys error code 7. This worked fine but then after restarting it got as far as the Win 98 blue cloud and logo screen and then jsut restarted itself.
