In other connectors you need to remove dark gray plastic clips, by sliding it away, and after that take out flatcable. I cleaned the plexiglass strip and it's like new. Thank you soo much for your information gathering and you sharing all your experiences! Just a side note, the sliders are easily remove using a 3/32 drill bit.
