You could replace the fan if it has you worried. The fan was running but the motherboard did not recognize it. I know on my motherboard, I can have it set off the alarm when a fan stops or goes below a certain speed. Do not perform this step while children or pets are nearby. my review here

After installing the new RAM, I thought the same thing, so I took the new RAM out(1GB) and put the 512 back in.
