retrohelix December 31, 2015 Reply Are all the fans working? If for some reason it displays the F2 error again, press Ctrl+F10 again. Unless there are other contributing factors I would have to suggest that the problem is with the fan and needs to be replaced. If your mother purchased the computer, the warranty is hers.

sadieb, Is the CPU Heatsink/Fan vendor stock or a Cooler ?? it seems to me the problems are more software than hardware. Also, if possible add your HP desktop series and motherboard name if you know them. Corsair H100 Cpu Fan Error I would set the warning threshold, or minimum speed to the lowest setting, usually it's around 200 on most.If you still get the warning then set to ignore.Hope this helps,Ron.
Did you replace the thermal compound when you installed the heatsink and fan on the CPU? Rick P. Please make sure the CPU FAN is installed on the right position of the motherboard and twist the screws tightly 2. Can someone please help me?
