The ColdFusion.Ajax.submitForm can asynchronously submit the form - which means when you click the button the page will not refresh, nor will the form itself. From the screen shot I would say you only need something like:

I think CFLAYOUT has a fundamental bug that manifests when users are CFLOCATION'd back to a tab after processing. UPDATE: It doesn't pick up the error and I am unable to use ?cfdebug. It turned out to be an issue with where I placed the JS. Both have the latest patches. Your doing an Ajax based request and the result is a header saying 'go here', but that doesn't make sense in this context.
