Reply Mike June 2, 2011 at 1:19 am I have a hard drive with many bad sectors. It must have moved the file off of the bad areas. Hopefully, the test will fix the CRC error, if there is one. In the first case, if SpinRite is actually able to recover the sector for you, then unless SpinRite tells you otherwise, I'd then happily reboot and continue using the hard drive.
it doesn't ask for the final disk and I can not access any of the data or the program at all. heck i even thought windows update causes it and started to uninstall all the window update i downloaded this year. I can barely see messages like volume is clean and Windows has just finished chkdsk. I will follow spinrites advice to regularly run it in order to prevent near future bad spots occuring, or if they do, to be in time to mark them as unusable.
